About the role

Every new customer arrives with a chart of accounts, an approval policy that lives partly in somebody's head, and two years of history they would like to keep. Implementation is the four to twenty weekdays in which all of that becomes a working ledger, and it is the part of the relationship people remember.

You would run your own book of implementations end to end — the kick-off, the mapping, the migration, and the first close you sit through with them. The measure is not how quickly you hand over; it is whether their second close needed you at all.

What you'll do

  • Run implementations end to end for eight to twelve customers at a time.
  • Map a chart of accounts and an approval policy onto Finly, and say when a policy needs simplifying first.
  • Drive the accounting or ERP connector setup and confirm both systems agree afterwards.
  • Sit through the first close with the customer, and write down everything that surprised them.
  • Feed the recurring surprises back to product with enough detail to be actionable.

What you'll bring

  • Two or more years implementing, onboarding or supporting a finance or accounting product.
  • Enough accounting to hold a conversation with a controller and not lose it.
  • Project discipline — a plan, a date, and a message before the date slips rather than after.
  • Patience with a customer whose old process was genuinely worse and who liked it anyway.
  • Fluent English; a second European language is useful and is not required.

Nice to have

  • Worked in a finance team yourself, and closed a month under pressure.
  • Have migrated historic data between two accounting systems.
  • Comfortable enough with CSV and SQL to check a migration without asking an engineer.

How we hire

Four steps, and a decision either way.

The same four for every role.No take-home that eats a weekend, and no round that exists to see whether you will put up with another round.

  1. Intro

    A thirty-minute call

With the hiring manager, never a recruiter. You ask about the work, we ask what you have actually owned.

    Same week you apply

  2. Craft

    One piece of real work

A ninety-minute exercise taken from our own backlog — paid at your day rate if you would rather it were.

    90 minutes, paid

  3. Team

    Meet the three people

The ones you would sit beside, including whoever would review your code or sign off your ledger.

    Two hours, one day

  4. Offer

    A yes or a reason

A yes carries the band and the start date. A no carries why. Nobody is left to work it out from silence.

    Inside two weeks

Benefits

Eight things you get on day one.

The same eight in Amsterdam and Lisbon.Nothing here is discretionary and nothing is a perk you have to ask twice for.
