About the role
You would be the second designer. The surface is dense — ledgers, approval queues, payment runs, a close board — and the craft is in making a lot of true information legible rather than in making an empty screen beautiful.
The first value on our about page is that the number carries its sentence, and it is a design constraint before it is anything else: any screen that shows a balance without what moved it fails review, however good it looks. You would own a product area with an engineering team beside you, and share the design system with Nadia.
What you'll do
- Own the design of a product area end to end, from the problem to the shipped screens.
- Work in the codebase's own components rather than a parallel library that drifts from them.
- Run the research that settles an argument, at the size the argument deserves.
- Share and extend the design system, and delete the parts nobody used.
- Review the details with engineering before they ship, not after.
What you'll bring
- Four or more years designing software, with a portfolio of dense, data-heavy interfaces.
- Fluency in Figma and in whatever it takes to hand off without a spec nobody reads.
- The ability to design a table, an empty state and an error before you design the happy path.
- Comfort defending a decision in writing, and abandoning it when the research disagrees.
- Clear written English.
Nice to have
- Designed for finance, accounting or another domain with real domain vocabulary.
- Can build a prototype in HTML and CSS when a Figma prototype would lie.
- Have owned a design system with more than one consumer.
