Finly + Paddle

Payments · Two-way sync · Live since 2025 · About 10 minutes to connect

What it does

Finly takes a Paddle payout apart before it reaches the ledger — revenue, sales tax, platform fee and refunds, each on its own account. The net figure that hits the bank is the only one that ever looked simple, and now it reconciles.

What syncs

What moves, and which way.

Both directions, on every sync.Nothing here is a nightly batch —a record that changes at 14:02 is in the ledger before you look at it.

Paddle → Finly

  • Transactions, with gross revenue preserved
  • Sales tax and VAT collected, per jurisdiction
  • Paddle's fee, posted to its own account
  • Refunds and chargebacks, matched to the sale
  • Payout batches, matched to the bank line
  • Subscription and invoice references

Finly → Paddle

  • Ledger account codes, written back as metadata
  • Reconciliation status on every payout
  • Entity tag, so a multi-entity group stays separate

Connected

What it looks like once it is on.

The Finly ledger view for a connected payments account: €1.84M settled this month, €41,900 of processing fees at 2.3% of gross, no unreconciled payouts, a twelve-week payout chart split between cards, gross and reimbursements, and three lines needing a human.

Every settlement, already split.

Gross, processing fees and refunds land as separate lines against the same Paddle settlement, each on its own account. The bank line that arrives two days later matches without anyone touching it.

Before you start

What you need, and what it will not do.

You need a Paddle account with owner or administrator access and a Finly plan that includes bank feeds, which means Core and above. One Paddle account maps to one Finly entity, so a group running several entities connects each one separately —that separation is also what keeps the fee accounts apart at the close.Nothing is installed, and the key never leaves Finly.

Two things it deliberately will not do.It will not move money:Finly reads Paddle and never initiates a payout, a refund or a transfer, so a bad sync cannot cost you anything. And it will not rewrite history —activity that settled before you connected stays exactly as it is unless you ask for the ninety-day backfill, which is a separate run and a reversible one.
