Accounting

Finly + Netvisor

Accounting · Two-way sync · Live since 2025 · About 12 minutes to connect

What it does

Finly writes card spend and purchase invoices into Netvisor with the account and the VAT status set, and carries the dimension the report will need. Nothing waits for a month-end export, so the ledger is current on every day of the month.

What syncs

What moves, and which way.

Both directions, on every sync.Nothing here is a nightly batch —a record that changes at 14:02 is in the ledger before you look at it.

Netvisor → Finly

  • The account list and its active accounts
  • VAT statuses and their percentages
  • Dimensions and their headings
  • Suppliers and their payment details
  • Bank accounts and their ledger account
  • The locked accounting period

Finly → Netvisor

  • Card spend as bank vouchers, dimensioned
  • Purchase invoices with the attachment
  • Reimbursement vouchers, one per pay run

Connected

What it looks like once it is on.

The Finly ledger view for a connected payments account: €1.84M settled this month, €41,900 of processing fees at 2.3% of gross, no unreconciled payouts, a twelve-week payout chart split between cards, gross and reimbursements, and three lines needing a human.

Every line, already coded.

Card spend, bills and reimbursements arrive in Netvisor with the account, the tax treatment and the cost centre already on them. The bank feed matches them without anyone opening a spreadsheet.

Before you start

What you need, and what it will not do.

You need a Netvisor account with adviser or administrator rights and a Finly plan that includes the ledger sync, which means Core and above. One Netvisor organisation maps to one Finly entity, so a group running several sets of books connects each one separately —that separation is what keeps the intercompany lines apart at the close.Nothing is installed, and the credentials never leave Finly.

Two things it deliberately will not do.It will not post into a locked period:if the month is closed in Netvisor, the entry waits in Finly until you reopen it or roll it forward. It will not touch master data —Finly reads your chart, your dimensions and your suppliers and never writes them back, so a mapping change is always yours to make.
